| The Partners of Crain & Schooley Insurance Brokers Ltd. wish to acknowledge the retirement of a Senior Partner, Don Van Allen. Don began his insurance career joining his parent’s insurance brokerage in 1965. He literally learned the insurance business at the kitchen table as the business he purchased from his parents in 1979 began as a home based business. In 1987 he partnered with Crain & Schooley Insurance Brokers Ltd. and retires a principal of an organization with more than 50 insurance professionals. Don’s significant success as an insurance broker can be attributed to the intense personal relationship he maintained with his clients and the fact that he never ceased to be a student of this ever changing business. While Don is officially “retired”, Don’s experience and counsel will continue to be sought out and will be a value to the remaining partners and our staff in our Kemptville office.
